In the outset of sheep being born, they were born in the color black, its the origin, the original form, the roots were dark, as was the soil.
The sheperd prefered white, complicit, used for profitable coats, to color it in tones that arent even real.
A white sheep is a result, a product, a objectified being. Without domestication, there wouldnt be the known majority of whites, they all are breeding goals, a performance of submission, ready for the wolf to get them, easier prey, easily seen and attacked in the dark.
I learned in visiting a shepherdess how they would measure value of the sheep for the herd book, an examiner would check the exterior, the milk- and meat yield, the fertility,race and fitness. The prettier the wool, the bigger a horn, the strenger the muscles, the shinier the teeth, the straighter their legs, the better they would make a perfect object to create more of their kind.
Without over-breeding they would turn black again, would connect to their nature, like remembering where they came from, to whom they owe life to. Even those examinier have build an illusionary image around a neutral color, as the one that isn’t viewed as sellable, presentable, the one that doesnt hold the wool that can be manipulated, of use, colored wrongly, not as easy to control and to have power over.
The black sheep embodies reality, truth spreading through a body of history, unashamed color, without being altered from outside influences, while they call white the the purest tone.
I believe that white is a lie, doesnt last, the wests are full of blood, white does not stay white for long, the wool is getting muddy each time, it attracts all kind of stains,leaves and grass, wanting to be something it cannot consistently be.
They call the black sheep “the one difficult to integrate into the flock“ while they are without human’s eye a remembrance of belonging, of nature, a memory of something that had no need to be modified, an accepted part of the group,the flock knows, it makes sure that the black sheep is often being appointed as the leader of the group.
Sheep are wiser in their submission than humans are, I watch them bump heads and then move on, eating grass, sleeping peacefully next to the one they’ve bumbed heads with and a white man still fires and harms out of this white house, this white lie, with white human-sheep huffing and puffing, humming and hawing, sitting pale and silently submissive next to what muddies their wool, there is dirt on you, on us all, not on the ones who have refused to be colored incorrectly, not the ones that you deem to be difficult to sell, to include, to give an important role to.
Its time that they take over,
not in uniformly white coat,
not uniformly white,
no uniform.
A uncomfortable fit of trying to hide disconnection,differences,variety, expression, wholeness.

If the coat enforces a sense of unity we are doomed,
we should sense it despite, we should love despite,
we should act for each other despite the fabric we were woven into.
If the wool matters to matter in a flock, to be a part, I prefer to be apart.
Parted off of, cutting the cord, moving into spaces where I can meet people that dont look the same as me, think differently, can teach me things, see things I cannot, have stories to tell that I cannot imagine, wearing another kind of tool, another kind of pattern, I am capable and ready to love without feeling like this matters.
If coat is skin, lets wear it truely, unapologetically true,raw, obvious, lets not wear it like someone constructed us, but with knowledge and honor of ancestral lines.
